This is one of my go to flies that was tied by a dear friend of  mine, John Scott. This pattern can be tied either on a straight or a grub hook but I have found either pattern works very well beaded or just with a little lead wrapping for weight. With the straight hook pattern a tail is added.

A blend of a standard Pheasant Tail body with copper wire ribbing with a black shell case covering a natural fur blending thorax. This fly has either a lead wrapping or a tungsten bead for weight depending on the style of fishing required. 

I was lucky enough to learn this pattern from John, especially the special fur blending materials he used. I prefer to keep this blend to myself to have a point of difference from the retail flies.
