To show my support for you supporting my flies I am willing to have a monthly competition for the best photo sent in each month. For this the winner will receive a mixed dozen flies from me for their efforts. I will also list each month, the winner and their photo.
Just keep sending your photos in so I can upload to remove the photos I have placed in this gallery. All these fish are Hawkes Bay region caught, all have been caught on the flies I have online for sale except the Slushy Flies. I have only started tying these this year after regular contacts asking me to tie them as for the success they are receiving. Interesting to tie which is why I have added them to my portfolio. So far I have tried on a couple of occasions and have been successful.

Not concentrating on what I was doing and ending up taking a Black and White centred so on this day I learnt something that what you can take on a mobile cellphone. I have since had this photo printed and framed.

Wow, its amazing what you find on the riverbed. Some Pied Stilt eggs in a little nest within 2 metres of the river. The parents are an agressive little bird, being very protective. When they start chirping and diving means you are close and it pays to watch your step as their nests are very hard to see. When hatched they are even more difficult to see as they blend in so well to the rocks. They are just a little bundle of fur and look very cute.
This fish was caught in the Waipawa and touched just on 8 pounds. I found this fish lurking in a backwater just off the mainstream.
